| IF you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can make one heap of all your winnings If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, - Rudyard Kipling ( copied from http://www.kipling.org.uk/poems_if.htm) I read this poem in 7th standard and ever since then I've been trying to make it the anthem of my life. I mean if you want a formula for everlasting success, it doesn't get better than this, and heck it rhymes too. It's obvious that Kipling has put his soul into writing this and the result can rival any song, poem or ballad. So, let's put our souls into doing what he says.I hope i never forget this poem. It's my absolute favourite and forever will be. |

Now it is my most favourite poem too. It can probably bring light in darkness, hope to the helpless and give strength to the weak...
