Late regret
(P.S Requires patient reading)
Late regret
[rap]
Hell yeah, I was first betrayed,
by somebody whom I considered my last solace,
and when I went to him and asked for assistance,
he said no right in my tear stained face.
Then I knew him for the double crosser he was,
and so, I crushed his most beloved possession.
Blinded by pure hate and black blood lust,
I extracted my revenge in mad aggression.
After what I'd done, I’m sure he wouldn't let me be
and sure enough he's sent a hit man after me.
[chorus]
I think that I've wronged him,
I hope that I've not.
I need to get to the truth,
before I get shot.
I think that I've wronged,
I hope that I've not.
I need to get to the truth,
before I get shot.
[rap]
No, I'm not going to hide,
I'm just getting a breather outside.
I'll stand tall, show him for the man that I am,
gatecrash his haunt and bust his little scam.
I don't know how long I've got to live,
life is something nobody can give,
but it's something anyone can damn take,
but before I die, I want to realize my mistake.
Now I've gotta think, I've got no time to waste,
I have to make it, and be there post haste.
Did I really do all the things that I say?,
assuring myself I was doing things "my way"?
But no matter what he's done, till my very damned end
I swear by the gods, he'll still be…… my friend.
[chorus]
I think that I've wronged him,
I hope that I've not.
I need to get to the truth,
before I get shot.
I think that I've wronged,
I hope that I've not.
I need one straight answer,
before I get shot.

CARTOONS
Comic strips are even better. They are portable, small(as in less time consuming) and great fun.My favourites include Calvin and Hobbes(if you haven't heard of this you don't deserve to read),Asterix and Obelix, Garfield and Dennis the Menace. R.K Laxman is awesome but a tad boring sometimes( he makes political cartoons of INDIA, what can you expect :/).
For me,childhood = cartoons, and that's the greatest compliment I can give ^_^.

If: The best poem I have read
|
| IF.....
|
| |
| IF you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can make one heap of all your winnings If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, - Rudyard Kipling ( copied from http://www.kipling.org.uk/poems_if.htm) I read this poem in 7th standard and ever since then I've been trying to make it the anthem of my life. I mean if you want a formula for everlasting success, it doesn't get better than this, and heck it rhymes too. It's obvious that Kipling has put his soul into writing this and the result can rival any song, poem or ballad. So, let's put our souls into doing what he says.I hope i never forget this poem. It's my absolute favourite and forever will be. |

Fare thee well
As I sit and gaze
at the falling rain,
I recollect memories
and sigh in pain.
memories of childhood,
that wonderful phase
of life that we
can never replace.
I remember with sick want
the innocent feeling,
in our little minds while
the world was still revealing.
I remember our hearts
young, sweet and care free
we never thought
in the lines of I, my and me.
And now as the sad life
goes on,I sigh in pain
and remember that glorious
life we can never regain.
